Attention breeders! With the rimondo Performance Check, you now have the opportunity to easily assess offspring performance, heredity and breeding progress!
We have chosen ZOOM to kick off the rimondo Performance Check! The acclaimed reserve winner of the 2016 Westphalian Main Licensing caused a sensation with his first foal crop in 2018 and not only gave breeders incredibly strong-moving, correctly built and typey offspring, but also provided the winning foal at the 2018 German Foal Championships!
Now, three years later, the first Zoom offspring have proven themselves in competition and we have taken a close look at them!
In 301 starts in tests for young riding horses, a total of 59% of Zoom offspring achieved a score of 7.5 or better in canter and conformation. In the trot and walk categories, the proportion was 51% and 50% respectively. For training, 49% of the offspring received a score of 7.5 or better. The same applies to the overall score.
If you look at the distribution of scores from 8.0 and above, it is noticeable that the Zoom offspring score particularly well in canter. Here, 36% received a score ≥ 8.0. 29% each managed to cross the 8.0 threshold in the areas of walk, training and conformation. In trot it was 26% and in the overall assessment 23%.
A total of 123 Zoom offspring have already competed in novice class dressage tests for young horses. A total of 82.11% have achieved a score of 7.0 or better. Almost 23% of these were able to secure a score ≥ 8.0.
So far, 30 Zoom offspring have competed in elementary class dressage tests for young horses. At this level, 66.67% were able to secure a score of 7.0 or better, with as many as 26.67% achieving a score of ≥ 8.0.
