Rusty 223 is an all-around amazing horse. Though known for his many accolades in the dressage world, he has recently had a change of lifestyle. In June 2015, he became under the care of Lauren Reischer, a New York City 17 year old equitation rider with Cerebral Palsy. She spent the summer training and handling him so that come September 2015, Rusty 223 would become the newest herd member to the non profit therapeutic riding organization, GallopNYC. Here, he is a barn favorite, loved by all the disabled children and disabled war veterans alike, not only for his smooth trot and rocking-horse canter, but also for his warm, gentle, "in your pocket" personality. He has even earned himself the nickname, "Trusty". He is truly the horse of a lifetime and all those who are lucky enough to be around him absolutely agree.
